One of the things that drew me to the LimeLight was this woman right here. Simply known as Lottie, this phenomenal makeup artist has worked with Urban Decay, Calvin Klein, Hermes, Nieman Marcus, Make Up For Ever, Monique Lhuillier, Tarte Cosmetics, Nordstrom and more. She has keyed shows for New York, Milan, Miami and LA Fashion Week. I get super excited about her because her background is a bit parallel to my own, in that she too started out as a graphic designer. When I heard she was partnering with LimeLight with Alcone to do her first collaboration, I was sold. I’m showing you her Dream On Palette in today’s post. Dream on and read on! A little behind the scenes action with Lottie
The palette contains 6 shadows at 2 grams each, making the palette a total of 12 grams. The shadows are the same great paraben-free formula I’ve shared with you before. This is a limited edition palette and retails for $78, or $13 per shadow. If you like the looks of this, scoop this palette up now because not only is it not permanent but right now you can get a free liquid liner with purchase, an $18 value. These colors were created by Lottie herself, inspired by some of her favorite shades, some that have been discontinued and she wanted to resurrect. The Dream On Palette contains 3 shimmers, a satin and 2 mattes. The colors are all earth tones and would flatter any eye color. Top row, left to right: Crystal, Lament, Dee Dee Crystal makes a beautiful highlighter for light skin tones and Lament would do the same on deep skin tones. Dee Dee is a great transition shade or even a light bronzer or contour.
Bottom row, left to right: Lullaby, Mills, Talula Lullaby is one of the few steely charcoal greys that I have actually liked on my gray green eye color. Mills looks intimidating but warms up a smoky eye gorgeously and can be a blush on deep skin tones. Talula is the absolute perfect deep espresso shade for outer corner definition or used wet as a liner. Here are swatches done on white sketch pad paper. Starting with the top row, left to right: Crystal is a an ivory shimmer with a slight pink to it, Lament is a peachy gold shimmer-not yellow or green as some can be, Dee Dee is a matte, mid-tone warm brown. Bottom row, left to right: Lullaby is a cool-toned charcoal shimmer with an almost periwinkle shift. It’s the most flattering charcoal I’ve found. Mills is a satin-finish rust with just the faintest pink shimmer in the right light. Talula is a rich, deep espresso brown matte.
I love this palette and definitely recommend it. The shadows are amazing quality, a tiny bit goes a long way and the color palette is flattering and wearable. I’ve used this as my reliable workhorse at many shoots lately and could easily create hundreds of looks with only this palette. Order here now to get the free liner pen and as always, shoot me any questions you may have! Thanks for reading 🙂
