As a working makeup artist in the midwest, who works heavily in bridal, the term pinky nude is on my lips…sometimes literally, several times a week.
Essentially, a pinky nude is a color that is part nude/brown and part pink. For light to medium skin tones, it is often similar to one’s natural lip color, turned up a notch or two.
Here are several of my favorite pinky nudes, tested on myself and my bridal clients.
This looks good on everyone I put it on. It just works. I love the finish and the YLBB (your lips but better) shade. When in doubt, Pillowtalk!
I would say it’s a pretty even balance of nude and pink.
I included Pillowtalk in this favorites post.
This particular pink nude brings life to the face. It’s a tad on the lighter side so best for fair to light skin tones. I just used it on a bride and it was the perfect her lip color but turned up a notch. I touched on this lip color a bit in this Milk Makeup review post.
This leans more pink. On very fair skin, it could be more of a medium pink. You might try Organza if this looks too dark for your skin tone.
Drugstore Pinky Nudes
Here’s your drugstore, balmy dupe of Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillowtalk. It’s a bit more sheer of course but the color is quite similar. I usually keep this in my car for an easy, always flattering shade I can apply while driving.
More Pinky Nude Shades
There’s a pinky nude out there just waiting for you. I hope this post has been helpful in narrowing it down.
