5 Things I Love Now
Here are a few skincare and makeup products I’m enjoying right now.
1.) Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Vitamin C Collagen Booster
This is an awesome, lightweight hydrating serum that brightens, tightens and firms! I like to apply this at night and follow with Ole Henriksen Truth Creme. Sephora gratis item.
If you have oily skin, you might like this serum as your daily moisturizer.
FUN FACT: Any Ole Henriksen product with the word “truth” in it contains 10% vitamin C. Vitamin C is the key ingredient for brightening your skin.
2.) Too Faced Loves Sephora 15 Years of Beauty Palette
My darling husband gave this to me as a gift and I am just enjoying it so much! I have already posted one look with it and have many more to come.
I’ve been feeling super neutral palette-ed out lately. The market is kinda over-saturated with them by now so I was craving some real colors like this.
They are all silky and well-pigmented. Plus, the bronzers and blush included are great too. Chocolate Soleil is my favorite bronzer of all time.
3.) Real Techniques Stippling Brush
The Real Techniques line is the brain child of Samantha Chapman of Pixiwoo. This brush is only $10 and does an excellent job of applying liquid foundation or blending cream blush.
It is synthetic, therefore cruelty-free and you know I love that. The handle is a nice size and feels comfortable in the hand.
4.) Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker
In my opinion, most lip plumpers feel like they are working, but really don’t. The majority of them have the tingly minty sensation that almost burns.
Sexy Mother Pucker has a totally different, kinda freaky, but cool sensation. Your lips will BUZZ. They feel like they are vibrating or tripping out on too much cold medicine. It sounds like a bad thing, but it’s really quite cool. This doesn’t dry lips out at all and others have told me it does make my lips appear larger.
Cool story: I once applied a lip plumper so frequently at a wedding reception that I woke up with my lips super swollen up and a chapped ring around my entire mouth. Real cute.
5.) Perricone Vitamin C Ester 15
This is one of those products that I was convinced on by seeing a real-life person’s results. Our Beauty Educator at Sephora recently shared that she once had type 4 cystic acne and that this product is the only thing that made a dramatic difference in acne scarring. She had also experienced chemical burns from unsuccessful chemical peels and laser treatments. Her skin is flawless and gorgeous and that alone was all I needed to hear. I could not look at this beautiful woman’s skin and even imagine any of those things ever happening previously.
The consistency of this product is like a mattifying type balm which I really like. It has 15% vitamin C encapsulated in Ester. It brightens, improves fine lines, wrinkles, texture and redness.
The first time I used this at night, I woke up with skin that already looked noticeably smoother and clearer. It is sold in 4 tubes to ensure that the vitamin C keeps it’s maximum freshness and potency.
