Easy, Natural Look

I received a free sample of this product from Lucky and Seventh Generation for use in connection with this blog.

If you are familiar with the Sahara desert, you already have a good idea of what my skin is like. Dry, prone to flakes, and being that I’m no spring chicken, aging.
For this reason, I absolutely love the emergence of botanical oils in skincare as they absorb and hydrate wonderfully and there’s something luxurious feeling about them too.

I have a cool demo you can try to see how much better the skin accepts moisture from an oil/serum like Seventh Generation Boosts Serum.
Take a tissue and place a small amount of moisturizer on one half, Seventh Generation Boosts on the other. Look at the way the tissue’s cells immediately become saturated. However, the moisturizer will sit atop much longer before it is absorbed fully.

The Seventh Generation Boosts are pure, plant-based serums free of harsh preservatives and contain no water or other fillers. They are also free of parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances, are hypoallergenic, and won’t clog pores. Win, win, win, win, WIN!
There are  6 different formulas to choose from based on your skincare concerns. I received the firming serum, so they must have looked at my age-29, and feelin’ fine. Loss of firmness and elasticity is often one of the first signs of aging so I’m all for it.

The serum has a pleasant scent, lightweight consistency and absorbs nicely. I used it in this natural makeup tutorial video as a dewy, glowing highlighter! It was perfect for this!

This look lets your moisturized, glowing skin show through and is just enough makeup to make a difference. If you don’t believe me that a little makeup goes a long way, see my horrendous mugshot before and after shot at the end of this post. Holy mother of whoa.

I didn’t label them before and after because uh, I just didn’t think you would have any trouble distinguishing that  🙂
