Aveda Tulasara Masques

Tulasara means “moving toward balance” in Sanskrit. You and me both, Aveda. These overnight treatments were inspired by the Haldi pre-wedding ritual in India in which Tumeric paste is applied to both bride and groom for glowing skin. Aveda Tulasara products contain curcuminoids, extracted from skin-brightening Tumeric plus apricot seed oil and stem cells. Don’t freak out people; from plants! Aveda Tulasara Wedding Masques contain potato, tomato and red raspberry stem cells. If you don’t think of this when you hear potatoes, tomatoes, well I can’t relate to you on any level. Ok, back to the skincare! First we’ll chat about the Tulasara Wedding Masque. This cool octagonal little jar contains over 587,000 plant stem cells. It has the authentically Aveda scent, herbal and a little spicy. The texture is silk and hydrating but not too heavy. When I use this, I definitely notice my skin looks brighter and prettier the next morning. It’s basically what is known as a sleeping mask, a product you apply and wear overnight to deeply hydrate. The Tulasara Wedding Masque contains moisturizing ingredients such as shea butter, cupuacu butter, sunflower seed oil, sodium hyaluronate and glycerin. It contains brightening ingredients like licorice root extract and clarifying ingredients like salicylic acid. Now for the Tulasara Masque Eye Overnight. This has a firmer texture for sure, almost balm-like. The eye masque contains the same curcuminoids and plant stem cells in addition to sweet almond seed extract, algae extracts, licorice root extract, molasses and caffeine to de-puff. It’s not slippery feeling, but is still meant for an overnight treatment. Do I recommend these products? Yes. If you can only get one, I would go for the Tulasara Wedding Masque as I could see the most immediate gratification from it. The price point for these products is moderate but I do not consider them overpriced at all. The Tulasara Wedding Masque is only $10 more than the eye masque and was more impressive. I’d love to try the Tulasara Radiant Oleation Oil next. My friend has been using it and loving it and I can see the difference in her skin! Aveda products are not tested on animals and contain natural ingredients. You can purchase this online or at your favorite Aveda salon.

I just picked up a jar last week and am loving it! I actually use it as a daily moisturizer too and my dry skin drinks it right up and my make up goes on easily.
