Brows 101 Series: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow
Behold! The most frequently-requested topic in all of Wake Up For Makeup land! Brows, girl. BROWZ.
I get more questions and compliments on my eyebrows than anything else. And to think I used to see them as a burden!
You guys-I used to not fill in my eyebrows. There was actually such a time.
I didn’t think I needed to, thought it didn’t make a difference, I didn’t even fill them in at my wedding! I seriously shudder at this. Now I wouldn’t go without. If you put effort into creating a bodacious smoky eye, why you wouldn’t frame it out with badass brows is beyond me! Fuller brows appear more youthful and can completely change your face. I have truly grown to love eyebrows and it just goes to show that if you take the time to learn about new techniques, you’ll often find you were seriously missing out!
So I’m starting a Brows 101 Series. We’re going to brow school kids so pack your lunches.
I will be breaking down different methods for defining and grooming brows.
The chart above will start you in the right direction as far as brow placement goes. The picture on the left is titled, “What are you doing with your life?” and the picture on the right is called, “Brow game in full effect”.
Below is the first tutorial video in this series, showing how to use Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. I really love this hard. It defines, holds brows in place and is waterproof. You only use the tiniest bit so I suspect this little jar is going to last forever! When I want the most sexual brows on the block, this is what I’m using. I apply with a synthetic angled liner brush.
I am using the color Dark Brown, which is the second-to-darkest shade. That is the main complaint I hear is just just the shade range. It runs a bit dark so you just have to be careful and use a small amount, adding as you go.
I hope you check back to learn about defining brows with powder, pencil and gels in the coming weeks!
