Dollup Case Review

I’ve seen a lot of clever magnetic makeup cases on the market and there’s just one problem with all of them. They aren’t a new idea because someone else did it first.

Dollup Beauty was the first to create a case of this kind with it’s Dollup Case. This hero product is truly unique, innovative and functional. Do you need one? Read on.

The case itself looks like a chic clutch. It’s made of vegan leather, retails for $45 and comes in both black and rose gold. I have it in black, because of course.🖤

It is a rigid case that has a gold clasp closure and is about the size of a paperback book.

When opened up, it lays flat, with elastic bands for storing makeup brushes and/or tube products like glosses, mascara, etc. on the left. On the right side, you’ll find a mirror that lifts up to reveal…

A magnetic panel where you can store pressed pan products like eyeshadows, highlights, blushes, bronzers and powders! So neat right?

You can put any brand in here that has a metal backing and is of average thickness. Dollup Beauty sells their own brand of brushes and makeup for use in it’s cases, which I’ll review in a future post, but for now, let’s talk more about this shape-shifting case.

Another cool feature of this case is that the mirror folds out to form a standup mirror for getting ready with. I think the only thing that would make this case better is a light. How cool would that be?

What I love about the Dollup Case

• Protects makeup pans from crushing
• Chic enough to carry as clutch
• Perfect travel companion

Anything I don’t love?
I’d love to see more finishes and colors. I’m pretty sure there were more in the past so maybe they’ll be back? Another improvement could be a strap on the back that you could slide your hand through to carry it. Just some thoughts.

Do I recommend the Dollup Case?
For sure. It’s the first case of it’s kind and I’ve still yet to see anyone do it better. It’s not only space-saving and functional, but attractive. It would make a great gift too.
