Favorite Nail Polish Stuff
Left to right: Zoya Trixie, Wet n’ Wild Heard it Through the Grapevine, Julep Char It-Girl, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Grey Area, Deborah Lippmann Stronger.
Let me first preface this by saying that I am definitely not a nail blogger or nail artist. There are some truly excellent ones out there though like my fellow Divine Caroline girls, Nailasaurus and Jocelyn Merkley. Check out their little digit creations and be amazed and just know that I don’t do that, though I do enjoy having pretty nails.
Zoya Trixie: This is my favorite metallic nail polish. It just wears so great and almost looks like foil. Adore.
Wet n’ Wild Heard it Through the Grapevine: I absolutely love the brushes in the Wet n Wild polishes and I wish more companies would do this. It’s an almost rectangular shape that covers my whole nail. For the price, it’s shocking to say that these last longer than many higher-end polishes.
Julep Char It-Girl: I was able to try this thanks to my POPSUGAR Must Have box and I was so impressed. Love the application and the wear. Also, I really like the tall skinny bottles too!
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Grey Area: I just love a good, cheap thrill. The Xtreme Wear line has awesome colors and staying power that far exceeds the affordable price. Grey Area is one of my favorites!
Deborah Lippmann Stronger: If you’re a fan of glitter, Deborah Lippmann has you covered, girl! I love how jam-freaking-packed this is with glitter particles. Fun fact: it was created for Kelly Clarkson. *Sephora gratis item
I’ve narrowed down the brands of color and top coats that have served me well, last the longest and are the easiest to use for those who like nails that say “I tried” but don’t want to actually do a whole lot of trying.
Left to right: Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat, Perfect Formula Pink Gel Top Coat
Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat: I received this from Revlon through the Allure Beauty Blogger Awards and I was so impressed with what this did for my polishes. Not only did it give them a beautiful gel-like shine, but it really did extend the wear out far longer!
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat: Yup, worth the hype. Every bit as good as they say. This really does dry fast and gives nails one of the most brilliantly-glassy sheens out there.
Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat: Another gem from the POPSUGAR Must Have box, this truly seals in the color and says, “hey color! You ain’t goin’ nowhere!!”
Perfect Formula Pink Gel Top Coat: My, what a pricy top coat you are! However, this is really good stuff. It looks especially pretty on bare nails and works to strengthen them as well! *Sephora gratis item

09/13/2017 at 8:44 PM[…] MegaLast Salon Nail Color I’ll be honest; I don’t paint my own nails often. When I used to though, this cheap polish always seemed to outlast the pricier ones. I like it better than Essie. I talked about it way back when here. […]
