How To Fix Broken Makeup
We’ve all experienced that moment of horror–a pristine compact of blush, powder or shadow drops onto the floor and when we open it, crossing our fingers, our worst fears are confirmed–shattered to hell.
Don’t worry girl! You can restore it to it’s solid state with a few simple tools. All you need is some rubbing alcohol, a small spatula or knife, a paper towel and a tissue.
I will show you how I repaired my beautiful LORAC Perfectly-Lit Luminizing Powder in this video:
Using alcohol on products repeatedly can dry them up and change their texture, but to repair it once, it’s fine. The benefit of using alcohol vs. water is alcohol’s tendency to evaporate rapidly.
If you want to sanitize your products, I’d recommend a product like BeautySoClean Cosmetic Sanitizer.
Take special care with your baked shadows and powders as they are much softer and tend to break easily.
Good luck!
