Despite being a Glossier rep, I had no clue they were about to drop a hot new product on us until Glossier Futuredew showed up in my mailbox. When I opened it, I oohed, I ahhed, I tried to show it to my husband. I just had to share with someone being that it was top secret and unreleased.
Described as an instant glow that lasts, meant to simulate the dewy sheen that your skin has after applying your skincare routine, Futuredew is an oil serum hybrid unlike anything else I’ve ever seen.
I applied Futuredew to the top of one hand and compared it against my bare hand. I can’t say that I remember the last time I liked a product so instantly. The visible difference in glow and luminosity was immediate and beautiful. I couldn’t wait to get it on my skin.
Once I did, I loved the realistic and healthy glow Futuredew gave my skin. It reminds of how your skin looks on a summer night at golden hour. I know you want that.
Glossier Futuredew is the perfect way to add luminosity to the skin when wearing more matte foundations, especially for us dry-skinned babies. In the scary car selfie below, you’ll see a glow despite the fact that I’m wearing a foundation that is matte and not what I’d consider luminous at all.
Glossier Futuredew hydrates via glycerin, squalane, evening primrose, jojoba and grapeseed oil. It gives you that instant gratification good good glow via mica. The scent is a nice, pleasant rosemary.
Meant to be used as the last step in your skincare routine, you won’t be able to get by on Futuredew alone. It really is like icing on the cake. It is the glaze on the delicious donut that is you.
The texture feels like a serum, then transforms into an oil when massaged into the skin. It does not feel heavy nor watery. I find 1 pump is good for most days, 1 1/2 if you want extra glow.
I found Futuredew worked best under liquid foundations. When worn under cream/stick foundations, I just had to not buff as much, using more of a stippling motion.
I love that Futuredew is housed in a glass bottle, vs. plastic and that it has a pump. It’s holographic bottle looks stunning on any vanity or bathroom shelf and the pump makes it not only sanitary but easy to dispense just the right amount.
Since this is the last step in your skincare routine before makeup, I compared Glossier Futuredew‘s price point to primers, vs. skincare serums. At $24 for 1 oz. of product, I feel like it’s right on the mark.
Do I recommend Glossier Futuredew?
Absolutely. I was impressed the first time I tried it and continue to love it. I can’t compare it to anything because I’ve never tried something like it. If you love a dewy glow, especially going into the dull winter skin season, I not only think you’ll love it, but you need Glossier Futuredew.
