Halloween Makeup Removal with Olay Fresh Effects

Every Halloween, the equivalent of the Super Bowl for makeup artists, I do some pretty extensive makeup. Makeup that involves, glitter, bright pigments, feathers and lashes galore! The question I get asked most, second only to “how long did that take you?” is most certainly, “how do you get that all off?!”

I always answer that it’s much easier and quicker than it looks! You can wipe away every trace of fairy princess or zombie bride in a way that is gentle, effective and fast! Here’s how it all goes down…the drain.

If I’ve used an especially large amount of cream products or waterproof liners, I’ll first apply coconut or olive oil to loosen the makeup. You will never look more of a hot mess than after this step.

Next, I always use a gentle makeup wipe to take off the bulk of the makeup. With all those glitter particles, you don’t really want all of it going down the sink. My husband is so supportive and patient with all my makeup shenanigans, but even he has his limits with glitter sinks. I do my Halloween tutorials late at night, after working 8-5 and eating dinner, the faster I can get done and into bed, the better for my skin and my coworkers that have to deal with me the next day. I might transform into night of the living dead, but I don’t want to look like it in the morning!

So, I recently got to try a new makeup wipe that has made my Halloween makeup cleanup faster and much more gentle, the Olay Fresh Effects {Everything Off!} Deluxe Makeup Removal Wet Cloths. The addition of soothing white tea and honeysuckle in these seem to make all the difference when compared to a generic remover wipe. My skin usually gets a little red and dry after a few swipes, but with these, I didn’t notice that stinging or discomfort at all.

I was able to clean off an entire face of Katy Perry Cleopatra makeup with ONE WIPE. Check out the evidence! This removed waterproof liner, cream shadows, lips, lashes and glitters!

If you’re a fan of the Olay Fresh Effects {Dew Over!} Hydrating Gel Moisturizer, you’ll like these too because they have the same refreshing scent. Nothing overpowering.

I used to think it didn’t matter what brand of makeup removal wipes I used because I still use my regular cleanser afterwards but once I saw how much more gentle these were than what I’d been using, I was like, “Ooh skin, I’m sorry girl!” I’ve still got a few Halloween tutorials left in me so from here on out, it’s me and Olay Fresh Effects {Everything Off!} Deluxe Makeup Removal Wet Cloths!

Impressive! haha I only recently started using wipes to take off my make up before I move onto the heavy duty washing and I couldn’t believe how much they helped.

For real! And I kinda hate when you discover that the nicer version of something really IS better than the cheap ones! haha!
