Look Tan with Makeup
Oh J. Lo. You gorgeous, thrice-married, crazy bronze goddess. I loved Jennifer Lopez in high school. Hearing “Waiting for Tonight” and “If You Had My Love” instantly transports me back to high school.
FYI, high school me: recording MTV music videos (when they actually played those,) dancing in my room, wearing glitter as eye makeup, making hemp necklaces on my front porch, running cross country and track, lots of art classes, making quesadillas in spanish class, driving a powder blue Ford Tempo, and briefly cheerleading, which I was very very bad at.
Well, a lot has changed since high school, but I still love the bronze glow that J. Lo continues to work. This look is now her signature and was basically designed for her by makeup god, Scott Barnes.
Using bronze and copper shades on your eyes, lips and cheeks can create a glowing summer look, no sun required! See what a pale whale I was to begin with below?!
To create this look a la J. Lo, round up the following:
- Cream bronzer
- Liquid illuminator/highlighter
- Cream blush
- Shimmery bronzer
- Translucent setting powder
- Bronze cream shadow
- Gold eyeshadow
- Copper loose pigment shadow
- Brown eyeliner
- Black mascara
- Cinnamon colored lip stain
- Bronze lip gloss
- Brick/burgundy lipstick
