Pop Art Makeup Tutorial

Having studied art in college and for most of my life, I have grown particularly fond of certain periods and movements. I love modern art most and pop art is a modern art niche I adore. Along with Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein  is one of the pioneers of modern pop art. His comic book-like paintings are vivid and dynamic, making use of humor and satire. Pop art is also a trend we are currently seeing in fashion too! The Philip Lim for Target collection features a sweatshirt and scarf with a pop art motif.

I wanted to transform into a pop art princess and live in my own painting this Halloween so I created this look for Divine Caroline. It can be easily created with inexpensive items and the rest of the outfit is easy too!

Some extra touches that complete the outfit are a brightly-colored wig, polka-dotted shirt or dress and cardboard word bubble or thought bubble to carry around on a stick.

Enjoy this look and let me know if you have any questions about how to do it!
