Products in my shower
Hey, let’s hop into my shower! Fully clothed ya creepazoids. 😉 I’ve always got a myriad of potions in there as a result of what I do. When I have a new body wash or shampoo to try out, I look forward to a hot shower just that much more. I’ve been trying out 3 new products during my rub a dub dub time, and there’s somewhat of a common theme, hint:?. Here is what I think.
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Fresh & Foamy Body Wash Shameful or not, I’ve been a bar soap chick my whole life. My husband and I rock that Lever 2000. However, as we shift into fall/winter, my dry skin is getting dryer. I had very fond memories of the Soap & Glory brand when it was still carried at Sephora when I worked there. I’ve always loved the scent of their products and ingredients. When I saw it at Ulta recently, at lower price points, I knew I wanted back in. I chose this body wash for the scent, which can be best described as key lime pie. I love that it has lime juice, something called kiwi waterjuice-don’t know what it is, but don’t tell me that doesn’t sound cool? It smells wonderful and actually really hydrates. I usually feel like an old raisin when I get out of the shower but I don’t even need body lotion after using this. Plus, one pump on a loofah is enough for your whole body and you can 16.2 ounces for just 10 bucks!
VERB Volume Shampoo I love VERB products and have recently been trying this shampoo out. I have a lot of hair and it gets oily quickly. This leaves an almost squeaky-clean feeling so I’ve been using it only a few times a week as more of a clarifying shampoo. It smells really nice and really leaves hair feeling volumized but I probably won’t repurchase. If you you have dry hair, this will be too stripping for you. I feel like I need a really hydrating conditioner after I use it so I feel like it’s a but too aggressive.
LimeLight by Alcone Skin Polish I have dry skin that benefits from frequent exfoliation but it gets mad when I use abrasive scrubs. This product is super duper gentle, manually exfoliating with jojoba wax beads, chemically exfoliating with vitamin A and citrus oils and hydrating with glycerin, shea nut butter and oils from lemon peel, cypress leaf, apricot kernel and sunflower seeds. It also soothes with aloe vera and calendula flower. Now, can we talk about the scent? It legit smells like heavenly lemon meringue.?Best of all, this is a cruelty free, paraben free, pthalate-free, US-made product with no harsh chemicals. I look forward to using it every time.
Thanks for hopping into my shower with me. Now, get out. Lolz, jk jk. Thanks for reading!
