Rave Makeup for Electric Daisy Carnival Chicago 2013
Well, we survived the first Electric Daisy Carnival Chicago!
So much bass, light spectacles, fireworks, confetti, awesome dancers, crazy azz people and unfortunately, cold weather and rain. I am writing this post with a cold on account of that weather but I digress.
Now about that raverrific makeup…
A sizeable amount of glitter and rhinstones was left in room 303 of the Joliet Hampton Inn. Which I would highly recommend by the way.
That hotel was staffed by a bunch of saints–putting up with all those house music fans all weekend. We so appreciated the free breakfast when we rolled in every morning and it was super clean with very comfy beds too! Nice work guys-seriously.
I was able to do 9 looks over 3 days for my friends and I using a variety of cream shadows, cosmetic glitters, false eyelashes and many rhinestones. I absolutely love doing this style of makeup because it really is like creating little art pieces. I enjoy the layering and building of elements.
It helps that my canvasses were my gorgeous friends Amanda and Kelly. Thanks girls!
All of these looks are pretty ornate and elaborate so just ask if you want to know how I did something or where I got a product.
Here are some of the glitter bomb makeup shenanigans.
Oh, and some photos were taken with my Canon Rebel T4i and others with my iPhone 5. My Canon was being a bit of a rebellious B-word and the hotel lighting was poor most days.

06/06/2013 at 6:17 PMI actually just cut apart an artificial flower I bought from a craft store. I used Duo brand eyelash glue to attach the petals and it held REALLY well! I was so impressed with how long it lasted. Let me know if you have any other questions!
