Real Blogger Beauty Preview
In my short 1 1/2 years of blogging, I have been pleasantly overwhelmed by the sheer goodness of others. Most notably, other women. It has perhaps been what has impressed me the most. Genuine, sincere support and encouragement. The female blogging community is one that has embraced me with open arms, when they certainly didn’t have to, and I feel blessed times a million to have met these fabulous souls.
However, as with every topic or content source, there are the criticisms, the differing of opinions, the downright insults. How we choose to take in these comments and digest them makes all the difference in whether we blog on with a smile, or crumble in defeat.
Maya McDonald of the superb Charmingly Styled initiated this #RealBloggerBeauty campaign at precisely the right time. There have been a few things heavy on my heart in the blogosphere lately and I can’t wait to chat with you about them. Please return June 16th to hear about something I’ve discovered as of late called “makeup shaming” and my thoughts on it. Maya will be hosting a link-up over at Charmingly Styled so I encourage you to read the collection of stories shared there and weigh in! It’s not too late to join the party so if you’ve got a story on your mind, don’t hesitate to share it and use the hashtag #RealBloggerBeauty. We’d love to have you. This is a safe place 🙂
