The Best Dandruff Shampoo

I’ve always been super upfront about my myriad of embarrassing issues. Dandruff is one of them. You can see evidence of the devil’s work dandruff in a lot of my videos and it’s just not really adding to my already low hair score.
I’ve struggled to find a dandruff shampoo that works, but that is also cruelty free and doesn’t contain coal tar or anything too scary and chemical. Nothing so far has checked all those boxes.

My friend Kailee, a stylist and owner of Eden Salon & Spa, knew of my struggle and offered to send me what she believed could be the cure for my dandruff. She said many of her clients had success with the . I was all for it, still frustrated with my disgusting hair.

So, I’ve almost finished the bottle so I’m ready to give you a full report. I’ll also tell you about a few other products she sent me. Seriously-so nice, right?! Davines is a cruelty free line from Italy. The retails for $29 for 8.45 oz.

The packaging is already 100% talking about me.
Shampoo for scalp with oily or dry dandruff.

Check and check. It has something real cool sounding called dandelion phytoceuticals. It also contains selenium sulfide.

The scent isn’t flowery or super fun. The shampoo itself is bright orange.
Both of these factors led me to believe it miiight actually do the trick.

And ya know what?

I WAS RIGHT.

worked. Being that it’s summer, it’s no longer prime dandruff season but I can honestly say it’s no longer an issue for me. Thank you to my angel Kailee for helping me to eliminate this super un-cute issue, once and for all.

I have been using this 2-3 times per week and will definitely be stocking up before fall/winter you best believe.

I also tried some other Davines products so here are my thoughts on those as well.

This charcoal mask is messy as hell but I liked the refreshed and detoxed feeling it left me. I honestly recommend using it nude though because I somehow just got it all over myself.

and
I enjoy both of these and really don’t have anything negative to say here. Good smells, good feels.

I’ve been using this as detangler and it smells lovely. It doesn’t leave my hair feeling weighed down or heavy and I totally thought it would.

I’m admittedly not regular hair product user. However, when I used this prior to blowdrying and styling, it held my style for at least a full day longer. I’d say that’s worth it for the extremely low frequency of which I actually style my hair. I definitely see the value of mousse now!

If you get nothing else out of this post, I hope that if you’re a fellow dandruff sufferer, you’ll give  a try. It worked for me and I hope it works for you too.#DandruffSquad✊
