Products I Love Right Now
1. L’Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation in W4
Hola mi new favorite drugstore foundation! Why am I buying L’Oreal foundation when I tell you all the time how much I love my NARS Sheer Glow? Well, that NARS is special. The good stuff. The $44 holy grail stuff. So I’m not about to waste it on errands, days in the office when no one is there or just jamming around the house days. I have to have a drugstore option to conserve my NARS nookie and until now, I hadn’t really found one I loved everything about. I liked Revlon Nearly Naked but I wished it had more coverage. Well this has the coverage, W4 has the right amount of yellow undertone and for a dew-freak like myself, the finish is ideal.
2. Murad Rapid Age Spot Lightening Serum
I sold a ton of this product when I worked at Sephora. For the client who had age/sun/dark spots and wanted them gone like, now, this is the product we steered them to. It truly is rapid-most seeing results within a week. It does contain hydroquinone so pregnant and nursing ladies-not for you.
3. Real Techniques Buffing Brush
I love nearly every brush Real Techniques makes and this is my newest favorite. The Sigma F80 is my brush du jour for foundation but it may just want to watch it’s back now. The bristles are just long enough to flex and give you a ton of mileage with a small amount of foundation, but also short enough to buff out in circular motions. I actually prefer this to the Sephora Pro Airbrush #55.
4. LORAC TANtalizer Body Bronzing Spray
Smells like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, makes you look like Miss Miami. Needless to say, I’m a fan. I love this because it’s not a self-tanner, but a body bronzer. It gives you an instantly tan look that rinses off when you shower. I wore it last night to a humid outdoor event, then out dancing to Beyonce and the TANtalizer didn’t drip or streak at all. I also love that it’s not sticky! You’ll definitely want to use the puff it comes with or a tanning mitt. Unfortunately, you can’t just spray it on and go. It needs a good amount of buffing in, but it’s worth it. If you want a more affordable, more widely-available option, the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is very similar.
5. L’Oreal True Match Lumi Primer
Go glow or go home. That’s kind of my motto when it comes to skin. Eyes can be matte. Cheeks and lips can be matte. But skin is a living, breathing organ and it should look like it! I love dewiness in my skin and this primer gives just the right amount under foundation. However, you can definitely use it on top of foundation as a liquid highlighter as well or mix it with a tinted moisturizer for subtle illumination. I wish there were more in the bottle though. So itty bitty. If you have oily skin and hate any shine, you probably won’t be a huge fan of this.
Ok, that’s all I have for you at the moment! Make sure to check out my first collaboration video!
