How to use black lipgloss

armour-beauty-lip-gloss-femme-fataleWhen I saw the Armour Beauty Lip Gloss in Femme Fatale inside the James Vincent picks bag I purchased at The Makeup Show, I felt a mix of brief disappointment…but also excitement. With it’s rich, black tar color and texture, I knew straight away this black lipgloss wouldn’t be going in my bridal kit!

This gloss was too good not to use though. It 100% smells like cake batter and the texture is a syrupy delight. It made me think of how I’d used OCC Stained Gloss in Tarred to create the perfect nude so it got me thinking…

I used a lip brush to sparingly apply the gloss on top of my lipstick, blending it in gradually. I had no idea what color would result but I love the purple it created!

I have to be honest though…I don’t hate the black by itself but I know I’m probably in the minority there 😉 You can do another layer of black gloss if you want a deeper shade like I did in the 4th frame below.

Cool tip! To be honest I think all 4 versions look great, ESPECIALLY the black!
