Colourpop Strobing Kit
I want my highlighter to be visible…from space. The strobing trend has been well-timed with my highlighter overdosing and I love it. ? But I love it….? I got to try out Colourpop’s new Strobing Kit and have a full post and tutorial up on their newly-revamped blog, 1400 West. I’d love for you to check it out. If you aren’t familiar with Colourpop, you’ll love them. They create the most unique, pillowy-soft eye and cheek colors plus lip liners and lipsticks. I’ve talked about them before here and here and oh wait, here too!
The Strobing Kit contains 2 highlighters, a pearlized blush and 3 Lippie Stix and retails for $39.00. There is also a Strobing II for deeper skin tones. If you’d like to see that more in depth, see Jackie Aina’s video! The chart below shows where I applied the highlights.
I am also wearing Colourpop’s Plunge and Nillionaire on my eyes as well as the Marmalade Lippie Stix from the Strobing Kit.
This is the lightest highlighter in the bunch, Fanny Pack. It would be really nice for very fair skin tones that typically find most highlighters too golden or peachy. I also used it to add a brighter spot of dimension atop the more champagne highlighter, Parasol and on the inner corners of my eyes.
This is the blush shade, Non-Fiction. I absolutely love this rusty peach color. I feel like it looks really natural and it’s gorgeous for fall. I liked it when applied with a duo fiber stippling brush best.
This is the champagne-toned highlighter, Parasol. I feel like this is the most universal shade. It can be used as eyeshadow as well like I did in my back to school tutorial. To see more of the Lippie Stix, swatches of everything and a tutorial, remember to check out my post on Colourpop’s blog, 1400 West. Carry on, strobers. Carry on.
