ColourPop Summer Collection Review & Tutorial

I can’t be the only one who thinks of N’Sync’s “Dirty Pop” when I hear the name ColourPop.
“Sick n’ tired of hearing all these people talk about
What’s the deal with this ColourPop
and when’s it gonna fade out?”
I’ve indeed been hearing a lot about ColourPop and finally got to try it!colourpopsummer
colourpop-summer-collectionColourPop sent me some of their summer collection and I wanted to give you a quick review as well as a look tutorial.

colourpopsummer7Wearing the Fiesta Lippie Stix. This has a cream finish and it looks and feels slightly glossy. I love it. It’s such a gorgeous, juicy peach.

Nillionaire got me feeling like a billionaire. This shadow is the epitome of a sparkly, metallic bronze. It’s everything you want and more.
colourpopsummer3Super Shock Shadows
Pigment: Loaded. You barely touch the surface of these and you have full-on color. Nillionaire and Coconut are my favorites.
Formula: ColourPop’s shadows are the most unique texture you’ll ever experience. The best way I can describe them is silky, creamy pressed pigments. They apply best with your finger, which is a little bummer simply because I love blending with brushes. Synthetic brushes work ok though, as you’ll see me do in the video.
Wear: As with many sparkly shadows, the color can fade a little throughout the day, leaving behind just the sparkle. I didn’t have too much trouble though.
Value: $5 each. I mean-come on.

Lippie Stix
Pigment: Gorgeous and packed with it!
Formula: I tried a Matte and Cream Lippie Stix and both applied great. The Matte isn’t at all dry!
Wear: Both formulas wore well, especially the matte!
Value: Again, $5 each. Is this some sort of sick joke?!
colourpopsummer8So, I know you wanna see how this look came together, am I right? Spoiler alert: it’s super easy but looks like you spent way longer than you did! Please check out the video tutorial that breaks it all down for ya!
