Covering Tattoos
Though I personally do not have any tattoos of my own, I’ve helped quite a few people to cover up their’s. Some have to do it for job interviews and others choose to cover large tattoos for a wedding-their own or when serving as a bridesmaid.
I tend to think if you got something in permanent ink, it must have meant a great deal to you and when possible, you should let it show and be yourself! However, I do understand the necessity to cover them in certain situations. I have found that the method below works best and the products featured perform better than others at effectively covering dark tattoos. I also chose these products because they are available at your local Sephora or online and you could do this yourself or have a friend help you without enlisting a professional.
Surprisingly, products that claim to be for tattoo coverage do not work as well as one would think. Kat Von D’s Lock-It Tattoo Concealer and Tattoo Eraser pencil do not work so well. Make Up For Ever’s Full Cover concealer doesn’t cover as well as I’d like and I believe it is due to the gel-like consistency. A thicker pancake-type foundation like Cover FX Total Cover Cream Foundation truly works best. Plus, it has SPF and is free of parabens, sulfates, fragrances, dyes and petrochemicals.

Let’s be honest, if I had tattoos it would obviously be something like this:
Cat tats fo life.
