Current Drugstore Favorites

Do I work at Sephora? Yes. Do I still love the drugstore? Yes.
What’s so great about drugstore beauty products are their mass availability and price point, of course! Plus, there’s just something so thrilling and multi-tasking about grabbing your prescription, deodorant and a fab new lipstick. When it comes to drugstore beauty buys, of course I love my main girl Target. Between text coupons, my REDcard and Cartwheel app, I’ve scored some great deals on makeup. However, a very close second would be Walgreen’s. They always have new product displays up and did you know you can return used makeup to Walgreen’s? Because you can! I was once trying to decide between 2 shades of Revlon Colorstay foundation when the sales associate suggested I simply return it if it’s the wrong shade. “Even if I’ve used it?” I asked, never hearing this before. “Yup! Just bring your receipt. We just throw it away anyways.” So, if ya don’t know, now ya know!

I told Divine Caroline what my current drugstore favorites are for winter so if you want to know what’s up and why, check it out here! I’ve got some lip products, liners, a foundation and a body product in the mix!

  1. Top Gel Liners -

[…] 1. M·A·C Fluidline This is one of the oldest and iconic gel liners on the list. Can’t go wrong here. 2. Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner If you’ve got watery eyes and/or oily lids, a waterproof gel like this is the ticket. 3. Sonia Kashuk Dramatically Defining Long Wear Gel Liner 5. Root Pretty All Day Gel Liner If you find some gel liners are like a slip n’ slide to work with, this has a unique consistency that I would describe as more clay-like. This allows for you to carefully create the line you want and it also lasts and lasts! 8. Sigma Standout Eyes Wicked Black Gel Liner 9. L’Oreal Paris Infallible Lacquer Eyeliner This is so smooth and I go back and forth about whether it’s almost too smooth? It doesn’t last as long as I’d like but I really like working with it. Don’t bother with the included brush though. Use it for a lip brush instead! See it in action here. 4. Inglot Matte Eyeliner Gel 77 My favorite of all. Just hits all the high notes. This is why it’s in my freelance kit. See it in action here. 7. LORAC Pro Cream Eyeliner I love how this glides on without dragging or tugging. And yes, I know it says cream but basically the same as a gel liner but easier to apply due to it’s texture! See it in action here. Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner This is the happy medium of textures. Not too slippery, not too dry. I mentioned it here. […]
