Glossier You Fragrance Review
If you read my blog or know me personally, you know that I’m not only picky about scents, but borderline mean and crazy.
“I hate rose.”
“Gag.”
“Why does this have to smell so offensive?”
So, needless to say, when this sample of the new Glossier You arrived with my order, I totally prejudged it like, mmm hmm, try again sweetie.
But then I put it on. ⠀
When I gave my husband a hug and asked for his honest opinion, he described it with one, single word, sensual.
Here’s how Glossier describes You:
- ambrette: comfy, warm
- ambrox: smooth, salty, animalistic
- musk: long-lasting, addictive
- iris root: earthy, green, woody
- pink pepper: spice, sparkling
The salty ambrox note is unlike anything I’ve smelled before and I love it. It makes me feel like I’ve got way more mojo and allure than I actually do, because trust me, I do not.
I’ve seen a few reviews that complain about it turning too similar to , but I’ve always liked that fragrance and felt it was universally flattering so that’s not a bummer for me.
Literally the only other fragrance that I can say I honestly love is my tried-and-true . That one contains pink pepper, as does Glossier You so I’ve hit on something I like there.
Glossier describes this as a fragrance that stays the same, start to finish and I agree. It doesn’t change over time which I appreciate.
While you’re at it, throw some of my other Glossier holy grails in your cart. Thank me later.
