H2O+ Rapids Skincare
Grab your paddle and let’s dive into rapids! I know! Why am I not a stand up comedian instead of a makeup artist?!
On the real, I will never be going white white water rafting. One of my greatest fears is actually large bodies of water. I grew up in a river town and there’s a large pond in my backyard but I always feel nervous around water. I can swim, but I prefer not to.
That being said, I love water in my skincare. , per the name, agrees with me. has so many offerings within their skincare line, and it can be a little overwhelming. The newest of these offerings is their , who’s lilac packaging won me over right away.
Key Ingredients in
- Probiotics
- Yuzu extract
- Champagne extract
I would categorize this as a silicone-based primer. It’s come in handy in my freelance kit for de-shining men’s bald heads on video shoots. I do find it gets a bit slippery if you apply more than a pea size amount. It does instantly mattify but I don’t think it controls oil throughout the day. It also has a heavy feel on the skin so I think there are far better silicone primers out there
I’ve seen a few of these jelly highlighters popping up lately but this was the first time I’ve tried one. With my excess facial hair, it doesn’t lay properly on my cheekbones the way I’d like. I found this difficult to work with so I’m not really a fan
This is so fun and so effective. I love any product that is dense and comes with a baby spatula. The texture is more like a balm than a sorbet really and it turns watery in your hands. It hydrates without weight and leaves behind such a beautiful glow without the use of shimmer. I mentioned it in this recent post.
It’s lilac, it’s bubbly, it contains champagne. What’s not to love?! I really enjoyed using this. It was both soothing and invigorating, going on as a gel and quickly transforming into bubbles. I do wish the packaging were different. There are several uses in one packet so it’s up to you to seal it back up properly.
What I Like
I love the best of all. I look forward to using it and I love the results. Second fave is the . Same reasons.
I also appreciate the moderate price point and the fact that the is cruelty and paraben free.
What I Don’t Like
I don’t typically like when a skincare product contains synthetic fragrance. The scent of the isn’t offensive but I would much prefer it without.
Both the mattifer and moisturizer contain silicones which I don’t have a huge issue with, but I know some do. The highlighter’s texture is not one that plays well with my skin and the primer feels heavy.
Do I recommend H2O+ Rapids skincare?
Yes to the and . Not so much to the primer and highlighter.
