It Cosmetics My Sculpted Face Contour Palette

Are you sick of hearing about contour palettes yet? Just contouring in general? Well, shoot. I might annoy you further if so! I’ve been using the It Cosmetics My Sculpted Face for a few months now and I’m ready to tell you all about it!

I have a full video review and demo but here are my quick takeaways if you don’t want to look at my face or hear my voice!

The It Cosmetics My Sculpted Face retails for $38 and has 6 powders for both contouring and highlighting. The powders are actually waterproof and the product is cruelty-free.

Color Range: There are 2 highlights, 3 contours and 1 matte bronzer. The matte white highlight works better as a translucent setting powder for me. The white shimmer highlight is extremely frosty and peculiar.

Pigmentation: The pigment is right on. They aren’t super-saturated which is great because you can easily build gradually.

Formula: The powders are of excellent consistency, very blendable without being too powdery with excess fallout.

Packaging: The palette is made of cardboard with 2 mirror on the inside left panel, one regular and one close up. The pan size is generous and easily accommodates a brush. Aesthetically, I think the exterior packaging design is fairly hideous and doesn’t do such a good product justice. I wish they’d update it, or at least switch out those atrocious fonts.

Value: I think $38 is appropriate. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette is $40 with a bit sleeker packaging and option to switch out pans which is nice.

Do I recommend it? Yes. I think this is very easy to use for everyday or special occasions. I’m able to contour my face and nose in a way that is effective but not artificial.

Have you seen/used Too Faced’s contour palette? (Cocoa Contour Chiseled to Perfection) I saw it at Sephora over the weekend and almost bought it, but after watching your video about the IT Cosmetics contour palette I’m concerned it might be too warm. My skin has a very pink/red undertone…

Hi Tricia! I haven’t tried it myself, but I do love Too Faced products. A lot of people have used their Chocolate Soleil bronzer to contour for years and while a bit warm, it still looks nice. This new palette does have warm and cool contour options it looks like. I’m going to link you to an excellent review my friend Bailey did: http://www.makingupthemw.com/2015/02/review-swatches-comparison-too-faced.html
