Makeup for Blue Eyes
Calling all blue-eyed babes. Lucky you for getting to make the most of some of my favorite shades of all: gold, copper, rose gold and warm browns!
1. NYX Cosmetics Nude Matte Shadow in ‘Blame It On Midnight’ / 2. Benefit Longwear Powder Shadow in ‘It’s Complicated’ / 3. Sephora Colorful Eyeshadow in ‘Girls Night Out’ / 4. Makeup Geek ‘Peach Smoothie’ / 5. NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in ‘Dione’ and ‘Himalia’ / 6. L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in ‘Amber Rush’
When you want your blue eyes to look ultra-marine, look to opposite shades on the color wheel. Orange is the complementary color for blue, but no need to go all pumpkin on us. Shades with warm undertones work just as well! Of course you can wear whatever color you want, but when you want to truly enhance your eye color, complementary is best.
Here’s an extremely easy, everyday eye look for baby blues over at Divine Caroline (you down with DC?!)
Of course there’s also a special occasion look too, for when you’re ready to get sexy wid it.

01/22/2015 at 6:38 PMHi Judy! Thanks so much for reading! When it comes to lip colors, I’d go more with your skin’s undertone (pink vs. yellow), but a peachy lip color would contrast with blue eyes! For eyeliner, while black is fine for night, I love a chocolate brown for day wear. Blue eyes can often be light and icy so sometimes a black is too harsh. Warm browns play up the cool blues nicely! Mascara-anyone but the fairest of fair can wear black I think 🙂
