Best Body Care for Cozy Nights
Body care products feel so much more essential in the colder months. Scents become more comforting and textures more sensorial when the sky is fully dark at 5pm. Because I’m team night shower, wonderful smelling body washes, soaps and lotions make for a lovely way to end the day.
Here are the body care products I’ve been really loving lately and why you might need them too.

Soft Services Buffing Bar
If you have keratosis pilaris, rough heels or both, you absolutely need this microcrystal exfoliating bar. Nothing else has worked the way this has for smoothing rough skin. It takes a while to get used to as it’s a level of exfoliation akin to a Korean body scrub, but it’s worth it. I’ve had no irritation or redness from it and you get 2 in a pack. Cremo Body Washes
These body washes feel high end considering their affordable price point. The Wild Iris Musk is an absolute scent dupe for Glossier You. When I prefer something more woodsy, I love the Italian Bergamot. They both smell fresh and sophisticated without being overpowering and make for a luxuriously elevated shower.
Kitsch Shave Butter
I am truly impressed at how truly hydrating this shave bar is. Shaving with a bar soap would typically be a recipe for disaster but thanks to the shea butter, the Kitsch Shave Butter Bar actually leaves lasting moisture. One pro tip: Avoid the bikini area as I’m not entirely sure it should be around the bits. It says it has “natural” fragrance, but girl, I just dunno.
Salt & Stone Deodorant
I’m normally a Dove deo only girl as nothing else seems to work and any “natural” options with baking soda irritate my arm pits. I like the idea of using a less potent deodorant at night after my shower, hence trying trendy Salt & Stone. To my surprise, it hasn’t irritated my pits at all and actually seems to work! I knew I’d like the scent because I love the masculinity of santal and vetiver. Their other scents sound unqiue and fancy too. I recommend having a reliable daily deo and a fancy night deo like this one.
Cyklar Products
After listening to a podcast interview with Cyklar founder Claudia Sulewski, I was intrigued to try the line. Admittedly, I was also interested as Sulewski is engaged to Finneas, brother to Billie Eilish and I’m a big fan of them both!
I’m especially impressed with the scents in this line. The vanilla of the Vanilla Verve Body Cream is anything but. Not an expected gourmand but more sophisticated, complex, woodsy and sensual.
I tried the perfume oil in Cedar Supreme, which has some sweetness from vanilla but feels balanced out with the richness of cedar. Sacred Santal has the santal allure we love but is somehow lighter and more fresh.
The most unique product is the unscented Ceramide Milky Essence. This is the first time I’ve tried a body serum/essence product and I wasn’t sure what to think of it’s role in my routine. It absorbed really quickly and despite being lightweight, left my skin feeling really moisturized. I think it would be amazing for the hot summer months.
I hope you enjoyed these body care recommendations. Now it’s time for me to go be cozy under my flannel sheets.
