Soft Services Products for Keratosis Pilaris
“So, how long have you had KP?” Initially confused, I quickly realized my physical therapist was referring to the purple/red bumps on my upper arms. To be honest, I didn’t know that KP, keratosis pilaris, was what it was even called.

When Soft Services, self-proclaimed bodycare experts, reached out to send me some of their products, I was immediately intrigued by their Buffing Bar.
This traditional bar soap with microfine crystals is said to help everything from keratosis pilaris, to strawberry skin, smoothing rough elbows and heels, preventing ingrown hairs and prepping for sunless tanning.
I was able to try both the original and Green Banana Buffing Bar as well as the Carea Cream.

The Buffing Bar hurts so good. It’ll take you a sec to get used to it, but once you do? It’ll be a staple in your shower and here’s why.
Dry Heels Cure
If your heels look like a desert landscape, I feel you. I know you’ve tried all the things including, but not limited to, wearing socks to bed and Baby Foot. I would have never imagined the fix for dry heels would be in the form of a bar of soap. Yet, here we are.
After only a few uses of the Soft Services Buffing Bar, my heels were smoother than I’ve ever seen them. This is now going to be a staple in my shower, especially in the winter months.

Keratosis Pilaris Cure
After going through 2 bars, I consider the Soft Services Buffing Bar to be a must-have maintenance item for KP. When using every other day or so, the backs of my arms were the smoothest I’ve felt in years. To my surprise, it didn’t cause any additional redness or irritation either!
Sunless Tan Prep
If I’m ever tan, rest assured, it’s not from the sun. I have an excellent spray tan artist and I make sure I do proper prep work prior to seeing her. There’s no way you’re going to have residual dry skin if you use this prior to a spray tan or DIY self tan. The Soft Services Buffing Bar is top tier exfoliating tan prep.

Carea Cream
When it comes to keratosis pilaris, Soft Services has your back with the one-two punch. Hit ’em with the Buffing Bar, then follow up with the Carea Cream. This body lotion has 10% Urea to help break down dead skin cells, 5% squalane to hydrate and 1% colloidial oatmeal to soothe.

When combined with the Buffing Bar, the backs of my arms were another level of smooth. It can leave a hint of stickiness so make sure not to over apply. I like that is has a pump and an aluminum bottle that can be easily recycled.

Otis may be smelling the Soft Services products, but he’s coming up empty because they have no discernible scent. This is great for those with sensitive skin who can’t use many overly-fragrant body products.
I’m looking forward to trying the Soft Services Theraplush retinol-infused hand cream next.
