Best New Spring Products

I’ve compiled a list of 8 of the best new spring products for Divine Caroline. Now, I hope the  birds get to chirpin’ and the snow gets to meltin’ soon because I’m more than ready to tell spring, “what up girl?!”

1. Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation
Vast shade range, uber-lightweight feel, SPF of 30 and the price point! The only issue I had with it is the sheer-to-light coverage. I like a decent amount of coverage and high pigment in my foundation and this just won’t do if you have dark spots or blemishes to conceal. Who I think this foundation would be bomb for? Young girls just starting out with makeup. They need only minimal evening out of skin tone and look best when not wearing a heavy coat of makeup.

2. Josie Maran Argan Milk
If you just can’t get over putting oil on your face, you’ll dig. This still gives you the benefits of argan oil, but feels like a serum or lotion. Not only is it a great hydrator, I actually found a use for it I like even better! When pressed onto the high points of your face with fingers or a beautyblender, holy balls! It gives your skin thee most beautiful, natural glowing look. One thing you’ll learn about me is that I am not a matte face girl. Love matte eyeshadows,  matte lips and blushes but for skin? It doesn’t get any better than skin with that ethereal healthy glow. Ooh la freakin’ la.

3. Anastasia Dipbrow
This will dramatically cut down the time you spend on brows if you’re a pencil + powder girl. This is essentially a pomade, or pencil, powder and setting gel all in one! One caveat-they run dark. I am Medium Ash in the Anastasia Brow Wiz and Dark Brown is still a teensy tad dark on me, but Auburn is far too red. However, I’m not shy about brows. I enjoy them and when I wore this, my husband said I looked like Rooney Mara, so um, score?!

4. Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss
The Naked line just gets sexier everyday! This is one of the most non-sticky glosses I’ve ever tried. Feels and smells wonderful (it’s the rosehip seed oil!) Early shade favorites are Beso and Lovechild.

5. Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Ink
These have such a unique feel on your lips, one that some have described as watery. These are not quite a stain, not quite a gloss, totally great. Magenta Ink and Ruby Extract are my faves so far.

6. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic Colour Pencils
I love OCC. Not only are they a cruelty-free company, but they are bold where other brands aren’t and never shy away from serious color. I have no doubt these will be just as popular, and play well with, their cult-status Lip Tars. Many can be used on both eyes and lips!

7. Make Up For Ever HD Blush
Every time I see cream blush, I can’t help but think of all the cute old ladies that would come into Sephora searching for “cream rouge.” If only this had been around sooner! Cream blush gives you one of the most natural flushes and are especially flattering on dry skin. These are super duper silky wilky. They blend so great and I like them as much, if not more, than Stila’s Convertible Color.

8. Tarte MATTEnificent Amazonian Colored Clay Matte Eye & Cheek Palette
MATTEnificent is right! Matte shadows on the eyes are universally-flattering, especially impressive on brides, aging skin and anyone being photographed. This palette is a green-eyed gal’s BFF. I semi-forced my mom to buy it because I couldn’t have created a better palette for a green-eyed 50-something woman myself!

I love the Josie Maran Argan Oil but I think it would be a tad too much for the summer time. The Argan Milk sounds like it’d be lovely though – I’m also all about the dewy skin, not matte look for me thanks!

The milk definitely impressed me when I tried it. When it came out, I thought it seemed a little gimmicky but once I put it on my face that day, BAM!
