White Eyeliner
After seeing white liner on the Spring 2014 runways, I worried it could easily read grabbed-White-Out-from-my-desk in real life. But you just have to ground it with another liner to keep it strong, high contrast and white hot.
I created this look for Divine Caroline with Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner in Snow and NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker in Carbon on bottom. For my shadow base, I kept things neutral, key when you’re using high-impact liners. I used the colors Sin, Naked and Smog from the holy grail Urban Decay Naked 1 palette. Out of the 3 Nakeds, it’s still my tried-and-true favorite. I applied Naked to the crease, Sin all over the lid and Smog at the outer corner, blended inwards.
For lips, I kept things subtle there too, just doing a coral gloss, Benefit’s Coralista. I chose coral over a red or deeper shade because this look is fresh and spring-forward and I didn’t want things to feel too heavy. I think you could definitely do a matte, pale pink too if you love the 1960’s appeal of this look.
I like this look because it feels very futuristic and modern to me. It’s got a tough edge to it and I guarantee people will stop and ask you about it!
