Current Faves

Hi friends! How are things in your neck of the woods? I’m over here, mostly sweating and working a lot, and sweating as a result of working a lot. I actually just filmed my first ever vlog video so check it out if you have ever wanted to follow me around for 2 days straight (no one raises their hand.)

Ok, so I have some new current faves to share with you. The special part is that 3 of these 5 products were given to me by friends. I am always so touched by others’ thoughtfulness and love how many friendships I’ve formed thanks to the universal language of beauty products. The cure for my dandruff:
Praise my friend Kailee at Eden Salon & Spa. She so kindly offered to send me , knowing my long struggle with dandruff and frustration in finding an effective, but also cruelty free fix. It isn’t pretty (bright yellow orange) and it doesn’t smell great either (sulfur?) but it works. Even my hair stylist noticed the absence of flakes at my haircut yesterday! Reach out to Eden with questions about Davines products.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter Dupe:
I already blogged about this but let’s talk about it again, shall we? I love illuminating primers because they give you a pretty, dewy glow without being offensively shiny or looking like you’re trying too hard. is so awesome for $13 and there’s little difference between this and the pricier alternatives.

My current antidote for blemishes:
My friend works for Tarte and gave me this new skincare product to try. Similar to the , this acid toner smells kind of gross but it totally works has both lactic (AHA) and salicylic acid (BHA) so it’s super effective at exfoliating and clearing up and preventing blemishes. I had some angry blemishes forming that were far less inflamed in the morning after using and my skin looks tighter and smoother from it too.

The multi-tasking brush I keep reaching for:
A friend gave me this because she didn’t want it anymore and this just goes to show that one woman’s beauty trash is another woman’s treasure! I love the large end for applying my foundation and the small end is amazing for concealer, especially the drier ones. It buffs it all out so nicely  and it’s super convenient that it’s double sided. There are only 2 things I dislike about this brush, one being the $48 price tag and the other being that you can’t dry it in a brush tower so you’ll just need to lay her flat instead.

A bomb drugstore pinky nude lip: Burt’s Bee’s Blush Basin Lipstick
I already knew I loved this formula after trying it in the color Suede Splash so when I saw a Target Cartwheel deal on Burt’s Bees products, I snagged this pinky nude. I think Blush Basin would make a great bridal shade if you’re in the market for one.
