Summer Makeup for a Festival
e.l.f. Cosmetics recently sent me a box of “festival ready” beauty products. Being someone that loves music festivals, but is sadly not attending any this year, I was inspired to create this minty fresh summer look. I also drew inspiration from this cool pistachio-hued flower crown from The Peach Polka Dot.LOOK DETAILS
elf Cream Eyeliner in Teal Tease
Root Mojito Eyeshadow
Root Pressed Eyeshadow Pigment in Pine
elf Lustrous Eyeshadow in Celebration
Laura Gellar Glamlash Mascara
Root Natural Brow Powder in Deep Brown
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Ivory
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Warm
Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer
elf Los Cabos Baked Bronzer
Milani Color Statement Lipliner in Natural
elf Lip Balm in Nude
To create the eye look, I started by placing elf Baked Bronzer in my crease. I find this bronzer to be extremely dry and chalky so you’ll need to really work with it to get any sort of color payoff.
I then used my finger to apply the elf Cream Eyeliner in Teal Tease all over the lid to serve as a shadow base. This is a great additional use for any cream liner.
I did create a bit of a wing shape on the outer corner with the elf Cream Eyeliner in Teal Tease and brought it across the lower lash line as well. I added Pine at the outer corner of the lower lash line as well.
I added a pop of light with the elf Lustrous Eyeshadow in Celebration at the inner corner.
I did use the elf Baked Bronzer on my cheeks and I’ll be honest-I don’t like this at all. It feels like a piece of cardboard. There are tons of other great bronzers for summer.
On my lips I lined with Milani Color Statement Lipliner in Natural and swiped on the elf Lip Balm in Nude.I’m also wearing the complexion products listed above, applied with a damp beautyblender. I am always into glowing skin, but especially now for summer.
I hope you enjoyed this look breakdown! If not, hey, that’s cool too. Thanks for stopping by my blog regardless. If you haven’t entered my anti-aging skincare giveaway yet, make sure you do so because there are some really legit products in it.
