Natural Beauty Subscription Service

By now, I think there are as many beauty subscription services as there are social media platforms, frozen yogurt chains and world countries! Maybe more?! I know you’ve likely heard of the usual suspects like Birchbox, Ipsy, Glossybox, Boxycharm, etc. I’ve reviewed several myself and have enjoyed exploring their options. Today, I want to introduce you to a beauty subscription I bet you haven’t heard of, Root’s Pretty Club!
Ok, so here’s the deal. Each month, you receive 4 brand-new products and 1 brand new product sample from vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free green beauty brand Root. The cost is $20 per month and the value is always much more than that if you were to purchase these product sizes individually. The products are often exclusive to Pretty Club or a sneak peek of upcoming products. It’s unique in that you’re the first to try the products you receive. Root uses this subscription service as a way to gather valuable customer feedback and gauge interest in how a product might do. If an item is particularly, raved about, they’ll likely put it into production.

Pretty Hair Day Lovable Locks The scent of mango oil in this is tropical heaven. It detangles without adding any greasiness or heaviness. I sprayed it on the ends of my hair, brushed through with The Wet Brush and braided it. When I took my hair out later in the day, it was full of smooth, tropical-smelling waves! Am I in Maui? Nope, just my hair!

Pretty Surface Cleaner I love the herbal citrus scent of this. It makes me want to clean, and that’s saying something in itself. For everyday surface cleaning, it’s fine but for more stubborn and sticky stains, you’ll need to let it sit for a bit. I am all about finding green cleaning options because my cats walk all over the counters and I don’t want chemicals on their bean toes. Now, before tell me, “Oh, our cats aren’t allowed on the counters,” know that I don’t make the rules because my cats don’t give a an eff and do what they want. 24/7. #catmomprobz

Pretty Balm in Scarlett This is my favorite item in the bag. The color is a beautiful, deep burgundy brown. It looks like a lipstick but feels like a hydrating balm. The color stays on well too as my husband remarked when I got up from a nap, “you still have lipstick on!”

Pomegranate Antioxidant Night Cream Root’s Fresh Lavender Moisturizer is one of my all-time favorites and this hydrates just as well. I don’t like the scent as much. The texture feels a tad lighter than Root’s Lavender and Grapefruit moisturizers, almost whipped.

Campbell Mineral Blush The namesake of this blush, and the Pretty Balm of the same name, is the founder’s impossibly cute daughter. That makes me smile whenever I wear it! This is similar to their Sugar Plum blush but brighter, more pink and a bit warmer. I prefer it to Sugar Plum actually!
