New Beauty Products

I recently returned from Lollapalooza in Chicago, sans voice and with a cold. It was well worth it though. You can watch my vlog video here to check it out. When I don’t feel well, beauty products are always my pick-me-up and positive distraction. Ok, even when I feel amazing, they are still that. I’ve been excited about several new beauty products lately and I have to share them with you.

I’d love to know if you’ve tried them or what is getting you hyped lately in the beauty space.

Ever since NARS started testing on animals, I’ve been looking for my new holy grail foundation. was the love of my life but this blog only features cruelty free beauty products so we had to part ways. I like that this foundation is buildable and comes in a great spectrum of shades. I have a perfect Sephora Color IQ match in Sand so I need to try this out ASAP.

Makeup artist Kevin James Bennett was part of the development team for this product so I have a lot of faith in it. Meant to bend and move with the skin, sounds right up my dry skin alley. I love that contains nourishing ingredients like avocado oil and mushroom extract and de-puffing caffeine.

LimeLife by Alcone Perfect Sunscreen
Pretty sure I don’t need to tell you that SPF is essential so we’ll skip the lecture. I do really love Glossier Invisible Shield but some expressed disappointment that it contains a chemical SPF vs. a physical one. When I researched it, I learned that a physical SPF might really be the better way to go. I’m really excited for LimeLife by Alcone’s foray into SPF for a few reasons.

I love that it can be used as a makeup primer and that it’s packed with beneficial skincare ingredients like butterfly bush extract, oat protein, carrot, avocado and olive oil, helichrysum, jojoba and niacinamide to name a few. The zinc oxide based sunscreen comes out next week hopefully so let me know if you want me to send you a direct link once it does!

I own both and and I absolutely adore them. If possible, this looks even better! I am so intrigued by the Neo-Blush and my freelance kit could definitely benefit from the range of sculpting powders. Trust, the truly is the best contour powder you will ever use. See review here.

Biossance Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Facial
I absolutely love Biossance products so I have no doubt that this mask is great, having not even tried it. I love all of it’s core ingredients for brightening, exfoliating and resurfacing the skin. This mask is like the ultimate acid cocktail with glycolic, lactic, malic and tartaric acids. Yum yum, lemme get some.
