August Favorites: Vitamin C & Fancy Almonds

This month, I had a total of 3 days off.

I completed a 7 day sugar detox, finished a book about cats and did makeup for 2 female presidential candidates.

Somehow, I managed to wash my face and put makeup on it while putting it on other people’s faces nonstop.

In other news, I think I have carpal tunnel.
*cries simultatneously into kitten fur and bags of Boom Chicka Pop.*

Anyways! Onto the favorites.

I love taking my makeup off at the end of the day and a cleansing balm + a hot wash cloth is a nice and relaxing way to do it. It feels more luxurious than a splish splash sitch. Due to the eucalyptus, kinda sorta smells like a chic Vicks VapoRub but I’m into it.

These really do refract the light in a supes flattering way. Think of as the chop and screwed remix of lighting. I have been using them on clients mostly, but when I used on myself, well everyone had better watch out.

Glossier Play Vinylic Lip in Disco

I love red orange lip colors and Glossier Play Vinyl Lip in Disco is such, but slightly muted for everyday wear. I really love the formula and the ease of application. Probs gonna buy more.

Vitamin C is a great ingredient for pretty much anyone to incorporate into their skincare routine. I am fairly certain I saw a visible difference from using this after just a few nights.

I hate all false lashes on myself…except . I need “baby” lashes because I am one. I used them to film this tutorial. I don’t hate ’em!

Non Beauty Favorites

I got these at Costco and I’m very into them. They’re not like regular almonds; they’re cool almonds.

More fitness vids

My latest YouTube fitness video discoveries are Heather Robertson and MadFit. The format of their videos is really unique, effective and actually fun.

• Next Month’s Goals •

My goal for September is to establish a better sleep schedule and a morning routine. We’ll see if that happens. LOLZ.

[…] These powders really do create a soft-focus, diffused light appearance on everyone I put them on. Often thought of as a highlighter, use them more as a final veil over your face for that filtered IRL effect. I talked about these powder in a monthly favorites post. […]
