BITE Beauty Matte Creme Lipsticks
It’s no secret I love BITE Beauty…and hard. I found my perfect red lipstick in their High Pigment Lip Pencil and their Lip Lab in New York is on my bucket list. I love all of their lip products, made with food-grade gluten-free ingredients an no parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals or phthalates. Their Agave Lip Mask is life changing as well, just a nugget of wisdom for ya on this beautiful Tuesday.
Anyways, let’s talk about BITE’s newest limited edition release, the Matte Creme Lipsticks, frozen berries collection.
These 5 matte shades were inspired by flash-frozen berries and contain cranberry and blueberry seed oils for their antioxidant and omega fatty acids. They retail for $24 each at Sephora stores only. Though they are all matte shades, they still have a subtle sheen so they don’t look or feel at all dry. All of BITE’s matte products are more akin to velvet than a flat looking finish. Organic fruit butters. Mmm. Let’s ponder that for a moment.
Plum: Described as a rich eggplant, this is one of my faves. I’m wearing it in the photos at the end of the post.
Elderberry: This is an uber dark, rich gothy-purple, which I love. I will say, it doesn’t seem to apply quite as smoothly as the other colors. It’s pretty damn dark so it won’t be wearable on many people. If you’re a fan of Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss lipstick in Homegirl, you’ll dig it.
Juniper: I describe this as a hot pink meets red. So sassy. Love.
Black Cherry: This is described as oxblood and I’d agree. I think I will wear it more in fall but it’s a true wine, burgundy shade.
Barberry: I die. BITE calls this a “muted orchid” and I call this my jammy jam. I absolutely love any purple shade like this and Barberry is no exception. I’m wearing it in this video.
As with most BITE products, no complaints here. The wear, finish and color saturation are bomb.
