Drugstore Heroes: Revlon Lip Butters

Have I ever told you that I love Revlon Lip Butters? Because I DO. These came out last year and I’ve accumulated 5 colors because I enjoy them so much!

The word butter in the name rings true as they have a very moisturizing feel and apply so smoothly. They have a true lipstick feel and coverage but provide more moisture. The lip butters contain hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter.

The colors are beautiful and pigmented and there is an awesome range of 20 shades. I have even experimented with mixing the colors lately with good results.

The finish is satiny, but not glossy. Just love em!

The colors I have are:

Pink Truffle-OMG-very favorite! This is the perfect wear-anywhere nude for me. As the name states, it’s a pink brown. It looks perfectly understated with a smoky eye. I wear this shade more than any other.

Sweet Tart-The happiest color I have! This is a bright candy pink that I like to pair with a winged cat eye. It’s definitely bright so it would be fun to wear to a bachelorette party or girls night.

Peach Parfait-This is one of the few lip butters that contains a fair amount of shimmer. It’s a great peachy shade for summer with golden shimmer particles.

Red Velvet-Rich, oxblood burgundy. I wanted a color like this for fall/winter and this was a perfect pick. Love this with a golden bronze eye look. It’s just the right amount of deep burgundy without being too vamp. If you want more of a true bright red, try the shade Candy Apple.

Creme Brulee-This is the most subtle lip butter shade I own. This is a true nude-no pink undertone. It can tend to erase your lips if you are pale so I tend to like it better when I’m tan. I’m not sharing a picture of me wearing Creme Brûlée because I look like a dead person.
