Light, Easy and Fast Summer Makeup

In the makeup artist department of my life, I’ve been running from one gig to the next to the next lately. Between weddings, senior picture makeup, family picture makeup, makeup lessons and blogging, I’ve been throwing this easy, fast, light summer makeup look on more often than I’d like to admit! The good thing is, it still looks polished and professional, youthful and fresh. It only requires maybe 2 brushes and it’s pretty goof-proof.

I will now start working the phrase “Warlock Garbage Person” into my vocabulary. You look nothing like a warlock garbage person, but that is hilarious.

[…] I also love using this as a transition shade in the crease of my eye. You can see it in action in this tutorial. It’s surprising that this actually comes in a lighter shade as I find the original quite […]

Thanks Ivy, you make makeup seem easy! Found you via More.com

I’m makeup “challenged” and that’s being generous. Being an athlete it hasn’t really fit into my lifestyle but now at +50yrs I’m attempting it a bit more when not on the water.

I know you’re a busy woman but…Question: How the heck do I pick out the right Pretty Balm color and Mizon Jelly Eye Shadow. Ridiculous question for sure but hey, I truly am ‘challenged’. (yes, I hear the chuckles out there) 😉

    Aloha!

Hi Rebecca! That is such a wonderful compliment! Thank you for heading over here from More! I’m so inspired by your athleticism and you’re totally right. Makeup and swimming don’t always mix although the Make Up Forever Aqua line was made for synchronized swimmers! To answer your questions: The Pink Beige Mizon shadow would literally look amazing on anyone! I love it. As for Pretty Balm, I would say Punch Love, Waverly and Paris are great universal shades. I hope that helps and thanks so much for reading!
