Toasted Gold Naked Palette Look
This look uses the original, and very awesome, Naked Palette from Urban Decay. I used to wear Urban Decay’s Midnight Cowgirl shadow back when I only wore light colors and didn’t experiment much. I’ve always loved their shadows for being highly-pigmented, buttery and finely milled and in tons of gorgeous colors.
I knew the Naked Palette would be an extremely versatile purchase (well actually it was a Valentine’s Day gift <3) but it truly has proven itself as that. It’s a cult favorite for a reason.
I’m a total Urban Decay shadow junkie monkey.
This look is warm, rosy and wearable for any eye color. I could see this being a pretty look for a candlelit dinner date because the colors themselves are rather candlelit-esque. You can always add some dramatic liner for a more night-time look but as you can tell, I don’t always use liner. I don’t feel that it’s a must, especially not everyday, and that is where I’m a rule-breaker I guess. I’ll tell you more about my liner thoughts in a future post 🙂
“Half Baked” is a beautiful true gold. It’s not too yellow and that’s the issue I have with most gold shadows.
The color “Toasted” may appear mostly brown in the photo but I’d describe it as rose gold and chocolate having a baby. It was one of the main colors that first attracted me to the Naked Palette actually. Had to have it.
The color “Sin” is a shimmery rosy pink. Great for highlighting the inner corners of your eye, or the center as we are doing here.
1.) I started by apply NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown all over the lid to create a good base. These jumbo pencils are amazing eye shadow bases.
2–3.) I then took a flat shadow brush and patted the rich gold color, Half Baked all over the lid.
4–5.) I then used a small, pointed crease brush to apply Toasted at the outer corner, bringing it into the crease as well.
6.) I took a small brush and patted the shimmery pink color, Sin on the center of the lid, towards the lashline. This will add a peek of highlight when the eye is open.
7.) I then applied a volumizing mascara. I used CoverGirl Professional Super Thick Lash.
8.) All done! You’re toasty n’ gold!

You’ve created a beautiful look. It’s interesting that you used a dark brown base. I’ve only ever seen/used a lighter base. Could you comment more about that?
