Trying Viral TikTok Beauty Products So You Don’t Have To

If you’re among the 689 million TikTok users, you’ve likely heard the phrase, “let me put you onto something” followed by a beauty product that promises to “change your life.”

Unlike YouTube or Instagram, TikTok somehow feels more real, less edited and filtered, thus more trustworthy in terms of product reviews. I’ve enjoyed trying some of these hype-heavy products, almost as much as I enjoy the funny TikToks and crazy adorable animal videos.

Some of these TikTok beauty products are actually quite good; some you can can probably skip.

Here are the TikTok beauty products I tried, what I liked, loved and felt meh about.

This promises “16 hour extreme hold” and I’m very curious where they got that statistic. It’s not sticky or crunchy and it applies and dries clear. However, it’s not nearly as strong as other clear brow gels I’ve tried, the packing is tiny. It’s fine but when it comes to NYX brow products, I’d save yourself $2 and opt for , or spend $1 more, for slightly less product, but the best brow gel I’ve tried,

They had me at marshmallow, one of my absolute favorite flavors. This primer is hydrating, smells nice and blends into the skin easily. I’m not typically a primer user, but if you are, and your skin is on the dry side, I think you’ll really enjoy using this. It did help my makeup last a bit longer and slightly minimized texture.

I won’t waste any time; this is one of the best drugstore concealers I’ve used. It’s $6, full coverage, blends and wears really nicely. I’m also very impressed with their 25 shade range. I’ve previously talked about this concealer HERE and HERE.

This is probably the most hyped product on the list. I really like the coverage, the shade range-I found a great match, the SPF 30, peptides and niacinamide. However, I think this is best suited to combo/oily skin types. It really accentuates my dry skin, clinging to dry patches and settling into pores. I am currently using prescription skincare so my skin is more dry than usual. I will try this again in summer when the humidity is higher.

Often compared to the $45 Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder, which I haven’t tried, this $13 powder is a home run. It sets and blurs the under eye area beautifully and I also love it for blurring and softening the appearance of pores and fine lines. I have no desire to try the because this is excellent and my favorite among all the TikTok beauty products so far.
