Milk Makeup Kush Mascara Review

Like many, I was highly (pun lolz) curious when  launched. I’d been seeing an influx of CBD oil infused beauty products but it’s inclusion in a mascara was intriguing and new.

My husband and I were on a little weekend trip for our anniversary so I told him I needed to stop into Sephora, but it would be real quick because I knew exactly what I wanted. I grabbed the , the product consultant informed me it wouldn’t get me high and I was on my way!

I know right away if I like a product or not. However because mascara is such a subjective thing and a beauty product that so many are on a perpetual hunt for perfection in regards to, I wanted to give the  a real thorough go before reporting back here.

I’ve been trying this new mascara out for about 8 weeks now and I’m ready to make some bad marijuana puns and spill the goods.

Packaging 10/10
This is, by far, the heaviest mascara I’ve ever held and I love that. It’s stainless steel tube feels so solid and special to hold and the wand has a good amount of balance in the hand, without feeling weirdly heavy.

The wand is one of my favorite styles for a mascara, fat n’ fluffy, just like my cats.

When you have a fiber mascara, this type of wand tends to hold and distribute the formula through the lashes best so I was happy to see this fiber brush style vs. the plastic spiky ones.

The wand holds the perfect amount of product fresh out of the tube first go, which is sometimes rare to find.

Formula 8/10
This volumizing mascara sets itself apart with CBD oil and it’s heart-shaped fibers.

I love how rich black it is, a must for me. The formula feels nourishing due to the CBD and sunflower seed oil, making my lashes feel quite soft to the touch and never brittle or hard. I feel like this is a mascara that is actually beneficial for your lashes beyond appearances and since it’s easy to remove, you can remain gentle on your precious lashies.

I had no issues with clumping and was able to build this really easily. I also experienced no flaking. I’m giving it an 8 despite by positive comments due to the next category so read on.

Wear 7/10
Possibly due to the paraffin and synthetic beeswax high the ingredient list, I did experience smudging with this. I was surprised since I have quite dry skin and never have issues with this. I know many, especially those with oily skin and lids that would find this very inconvenient.

Value 6/10
For it’s average prestige mascara price point of $24, I think there are better ones to be had. I do like it so I don’t find it’s a total waste of money, but it wasn’t the WOW effect I was hoping for either.

Overall Score: 78%, C+

What I liked
  • Rich, black pigment
  • Brush
  • Hefty packaging
  • Nourishing formula
  • Non-irritation fibers
What I didn’t
  • Wear time/smudging
  • Not as high impact as I expected
  • Brush can be difficult to maneuver around corners
  • While my lashes were fuller, they didn’t appear longer.
Do I recommend
If you like the idea of a nourishing, CBD-infused mascara, this one is nice, but nothing remarkable. I think it’s a good option, but not a great one. If you want to try it for yourself, maybe grab the for $12 and see what you think before investing in the big daddy.
