Best Clean Beauty Products
I’m not here to tell you why you need to remove “toxins” from your beauty routine. This blog post won’t tell you about all the “nasty chemicals” in the beauty products you love.
I’m here to tell you what I’ve tried in the clean beauty category and what stood out, whether you’re a hardcore clean queen or just flirting with that organic life.
There’s no shortage of makeup and skincare with simple, quality ingredient profiles and performance to match. These are the clean beauty products I’ve had success with. No scare tactics needed.
An MLM built solely on clean beauty offerings, I enjoy several products from . I would skip their eyeshadows but I like their complexion products.
Despite their “Never List,” I appreciate that still includes silicones in their ingredient profiles as I find those give great results in cosmetics.
Hero Products
This is a really nice tinted moisturizer with SPF for those that want light coverage and hydration.
This is Beautycounter’s foundation and it was more impressive than I expected it to be.
Often compared to non-clean YSL’s Touche Eclat, I find the texture of this really nice for the undereye area. It brightens without being heavy or creasing.
My Beautycounter Reviews
Josie Maran is a former supermodel and just freaking adorable. Her entire makeup and skincare is built around Argan oil, a tried and true, anti-inflammatory hydrator that most skin types tolerate well, even acne-prone.
When I worked at Sephora, the was still relatively new, as was the use of Argan oil in the beautysphere. From my perspective, it was one of the first prestige brands to integrate oils so prevalently into makeup and skincare.

I love the coverage and luminous, dewy finish of this foundation. The shade range has great yellow undertones for me too.
Though it creases on my under eye, this hydrating concealer is truly full coverage and conceals blemishes and redness with ease. A little goes a really long way.
Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer
This is a really beautiful liquid highlighter on it’s own or mixed into a foundation you already love.

Root
I used to create content for Root so I’m quite familiar with the brand. They are extremely clean and also very affordable in comparison to many of the other green lines.
I’ve seen where Root creates their products and I’ve met their founder. You can rest assured that it’s as clean as it seems.

Pearl Powder
Root’s loose powder foundation is the best one I’ve tried; I like it much better than bareMinerals. I like it best when applied with a damp beauty sponge using a stippling motion.
Pretty Balm
I love these lip tints for my low maintenance people. They aren’t oily or waxy feeling and they come in shades from subtle to more substantial.
Original Bronze Powder
I enjoy this as a bronzer, but almost more as a crease color!

This is a tightly-edited clean line. I love their cream blush and my friend loves their CC cream and foundation.

I love this cream blush. The color Flush is such a great “nude” blush that looks good on pretty much every person I put it on.
The bronzer is the perfect way to add color to cheeks that already have natural redness to them and typically skip blush. The highlighter is a beautiful gold that is really great on yellow undertones.
Though I’ve not personally used this, my assistant artist wears it and whenever she shows up to help me with a wedding party wearing it, I remark about how beautiful her skin is! She has great things to say about it.
SKINCARE
REN
I love that this line is gentle, but effective. Their Evercalm line is amazing for sensitive skin. I wrote more about their amazing Evercalm mask HERE.
Biossance
This line really impressed me and I can’t find a bad thing to say about it. Head HERE to read my review.
Weleda
Skin Food is LYFE and if you don’t know why, go read my post on that right now.
Korres
This Greek chic brand is well-loved for it’s inclusion of yogurt, but of course, and the cult favorite wild rose sleeping facial.
Youth to the People
I’m in love with their Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser and super curious about their use of adaptogens in their Deep Moisture Cream.

Sephora has now noted what products fit their clean beauty standards with their Clean at Sephora seal.
You know I worship at the altar of Target and they have a Natural Beauty section on their site to help you narrow down your clean options.
The site Credo Beauty carries only clean brands so you might enjoy browsing that too.
